Assignments on Monday
Math: Knowing your Class Due Tomorrow
Homeroom: Superpowers vs. Kryptonite Due Tomorrow
Assignments Today (Tuesday)
Homeroom: Who's your Mt. Rushmore?
Science: Technology update-create or attempt to create an Excel Spreadsheet
You will use this spreadsheet to track your learning during the school year. If you are having trouble with it, text me in Unified and I will take a look at that with you.
Today during homeroom we looked at the inspiration for the making of Mt. Rushmore. We discussed who else do you think should be on Mt. Rushmore, we talked about it being a conversation piece for other things like who is your Top 4 favorite athletes.
Now it comes back to you and how you fit into all of this. You are attending a great school filled with highlight talented skills or superpowers. If you are to continue developing these skills you must be inspired from somewhere, someone. So who is on your Mt. Rushmore of inspiration to be what you want to be in the future.
Example:
Above you see people that in my opinion, would be good for being on Mt. Rushmore but we aren't asking you to make a Mt.Rushmore for a history project.
We want to know who inspires you.
How you create your Mt. Rushmore is up to you as long as we can see it and/or hear it on Thursday.
Science Class Recap: We took a journey on the evolution of the computer from the 1930s to present day. We realize our strengths and weaknesses, like all things are very different. As technology changes, so do our skills.
The purpose of this activity is for me to see who is ready for the full online learning of Math and Science. We will ue and Excel Spreadsheet for you to track your Math and Science skills during the year.
We will track your progress along the way on something like you see above.
Today you were able to use present mode to share your screen and know where to find and use Excel to track your progress.
Sep 2 Preview:
Tomorrow is a self-paced day. Use the time to get caught up in your classes, ask questions etc.
I will leave a couple of videos for you to watch so you can see what we will be doing in Math and Science to start the year.
